The Sitter Connection Rates

Fees
The Sitter Connection is a childcare referral agency. We charge a placement fee to our clients each time they use our service. Babysitters and Nannies are self-employed, independent contracts, who are paid directly by our clients; we do not take any portion of their pay. Some placement fees may be subject to a 7% sales tax.
Basic Level - Pay as you go (Includes all clients who registered prior to 01/01/11)

Nanny Rates - Annual Placement Fee

	A non-refundable agency fee is required to begin the nanny placement process.
	All fees are based on a 12 month contract. Prepaid rates will be adjusted for shorter contracts.
	Families choosing to pay monthly will be charged an additional 20% convenience fee.

Caregiver Rates

Daily Babysitting Rates - Paid directly to sitter 3 hour minimum
	Babysitters must be paid for the hours requested. If you arrive home early, please pay them for the hours scheduled.
	$9.00 / hour	1-2 children in the same family
	$10.00 / hour	3-4 children in the same family
	$11.00 / hour	5-6 children in the same family
	$5.50 / hour	per family if two families share one sitter for 2-4 children
	$6.50 / hour	per family if two families share one sitter for 3-6 children
	$11.00 / hour	hotel / event sitting with all parking paid
	$11.00 / hour	sitting at religious services
	$1.00 / hour	extra for sitter between 12AM - 6AM
	$2.00 / hour	additional per hour on holidays on all rates (see holidays below)

Overnight Babysitting Rates
	Please call our offices to get the rate for your family's overnight request.
	Generally overnight sits are as follows:
	$90.00	1 or 2 children - up to 12 hours overnight (i.e. 7 pm - 7 am)
	$100.00	3 or 4 children - up to 12 hours overnight (i.e. 7 pm - 7 am)
	The hourly rate is charged for each extra hour before and after the 12 hour overnight period.

Daily Nanny Rates
	Nanny rates start at $10 per hour and are determined based on the nanny's credentials.

Caregiver paid incorrectly
	Processing Fee: 20% or $10.00 additional on statement whichever is greater. Sometimes families underpay the sitter. In this circumstance, we will add the amount to your statement (along with the additional processing fee) and pay the sitter the additional money owed to them. Please remember the increased rates if it is a holiday weekend or between 12 AM - 6 AM.

Cancellations
	All placements are subject to cancellation fees.
	Full Placement Fee if sitter is placed. Your sitter's name will be listed in your account on our website if it has been placed. Placement fees and babysitting fees are mutually exclusive. This means that if you request a babysitter for any number of sits and we fill the request you are responsible for the placement fee for each date. You will receive a placement credit if your scheduled babysitter does not show up.
	Canceling your request on the same day as the sit will result in the full placement fee plus $15. A portion of this fee will be sent to the sitter.
	Cancellation after sitter arrives to the sit = full placement fee and full sitter fee.
	Recurring cancellations: Two weeks of placement fees will apply for any canceled recurring request that has been confirmed. If the recurring request is canceled in the middle of the placement, the next two weeks of placement fees apply.
	Nanny cancellations are bound by the terms of the contract.
	Overnight cancellations: Canceling an overnight request (for single or multiple days) within 48 hours will result in the full placement fee plus 50% of the sitter fee.

Child Transportation
	A gas fee will be charged if a sitter must transport a child during a sit. This should be paid to the sitter at the end of the sit.
	Ten miles or less is a flat $6.00 charge. Over 10 miles will cost $.50 per mile.
	All transportation needs must be discussed and agreed upon with your caregiver prior to their scheduled assignment.

Holidays
	Easter Weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July day and weekend, Labor Day Weekend, Saturday on or before Halloween, Thanksgiving week (Wednesday - Sunday), Christmas break (Dec 23 – Jan 2)
	Please Pay sitters $2.00 addition per hour on all holidays on all rates.
	No Placement fees will be charged for requesting sitters for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve. Rates are set by the sitter who is available.

Theft - Ohio Revised Code 2913.02
	Please do not use our caregivers without our knowledge. We work very hard to find the best care for your children and using them without consent of The Sitter Connection is theft. No person or organization, with purpose to deprive The Sitter Connection of property or services, shall knowingly obtain or exert control over either the property or services by deception or without consent of The Sitter Connection. Anyone violating this section of the Ohio Revised code (2913.02) is guilty of theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Disclaimer
	In no event shall The Sitter Connection be liable for any damages of any kind or character, including without limitation compensatory, incidental, direct, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages, loss of income or profit or loss of use, loss or damage of any property of any kind, whether or not members or sitters are advised to the possibility of such damages or losses and regardless of the theory of liability.
